Visual Steel Inspection

KALGEn performs periodic visual steel inspection tests for the clients to verify the compliance of the steel components and structures to the welding procedures and American Welding Society (AWS) standards, codes, and specifications. Besides inspecting the steel fabrications at various stages of construction, we also examine the in-service damage to the steel caused by cracking, wear, heat damage, and corrosion. Our skilled technicians are up to date with codes and regulations specific to the type of application needs, be it structural, aerospace, military, or bridge components.

Magnetic Particles Testing – MT

KALGEn provides Magnetic Particles non-destructive testing services to tour clients to detect the near surface and subsurface discontinuities on the steel components which might inherent, processing, or service discontinuities. A detailed report with corresponding images as per the need of the clients will be delivered thereafter within the scheduled time.

Dye Penetrant Testing – PT

KALGEn conducts Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) or Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) to detect the surface flaws, leaks and cracks pertaining to welding and casting on steel and other similar structural components.

Ultrasonic Testing – UT (Level I, II, and III)

KALGEn conducts non-destructive Ultrasonic testing to examine the surface and subsurface irregularities on the steel components of the structure. A detailed report summarizing the test findings such as hidden cracks, voids, and anomalies like in welds and other structural components is then prepared and submitted for the client to review and undertake efficient and cost effective countermeasures.

High Strength Bolt Tests with Skidmore – Torque Wrench

KALGEn has undertaken extensive satisfactory work in pre and post-installation bolt testing to verify the compressive strength and rotation capacity of high strength fasteners of different sizes as per AISC/RCSC specifications. Our skilled technicians are proficient in using the tools associated with the bolt testing and quick, safe, and efficient manner as per the guidelines.
